TDSB Strings Enrichment Program

Davisville JR PS is pleased to welcome back the TDSB itinerant music instructor Strings Enrichment Program. The program is optional for students in Grades 5-6 to learn the violin, viola or cello. Students will be divided into a Fall/Winter and a Spring session. Students from the same class will be grouped together.

Below are some details about the Strings program:

• Location/Times: The program takes place at school, during the school day on Day 3 for 30 min per group from 10am-11:40am. The first session runs from Oct-Dec and the second group session runs from Jan-June.

• Attendance & Materials: Instruments, folders and pencils will be provided. Students must arrive on time with their instrument and music folder.

• Concert Participation: Performance at our Winter and Spring concerts is mandatory. Performing is a core component of the TDSB music curriculum.

• Instrument Care: Students are responsible for the safe handling, storage, and transportation of their assigned instrument.

If you are interested in having your child participate in the Strings Program, please complete the form and return it to your child’s teacher by Friday, October 2.
